Celebrate National Mentoring Month

Support Mentoring in January

On December 31, President Obama officially declared January National Mentoring Month for its 13th year. National Mentoring Month is led by MENTOR: the National Mentoring Partnership, the Corporation for National and Community Service, the Harvard School of Public Health, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and United Way Worldwide. 

Nine million young people need a trusted adult in their lives.  Spark is working to pair underserved students in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Chicago and Philadelphia with mentors, and this year will reach more students than ever thanks to ongoing support from volunteers and funders

Research shows that young people with mentors who were at-risk for not completing high school were 55% more likely to be enrolled in college than those who did not have a mentor! Help Spark #MentorIRL by:

 

 

 

 

Spark inspires 7th, 8th and 9th grade students to succeed in high school and beyond by connecting them with mentors in leading workplaces and supporting their academic journey with skill-building and resources.
