Spark Shared Best Practices in Program Evaluation Reports

Spark is proud to contribute to recent reports highlighting best practices for data-driven organizations:

Led by the National College Access Network (NCAN) and Exponent Partners, this two-part series takes readers from the early stages of program data management to more advanced strategies. The Driving Toward Program Improvement: Principles and Practices for Getting Started with Data report includes best practices for building a data-driven mindset, refining your logic model, adopting data management practices, building your capacity and more. Part two, Roadmap for Tracking Your Student Results: College Access and Success Data & Systems, includes frameworks for data management with a system, analysis methods, and more, and features Spark, LA Promise Fund, AchieveMpls, and more.

In the report, Kelly Dwyer, former Chief Knowledge Officer for Spark, shares the organization's process for establishing the organization's framework, “A big part of our strategic plan was improving our data systems and improving our ability to measure our outcomes for students. In learning to work with our data, the first step was to get together as a leadership team, and clarify our logic model.”  As a data-driven organization, Spark invests in program evaluation, applies feedback and analyzes best practices annually to continually improve its program.
